ACCA Registration Guide: Steps, Fees, and Exemptions

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is the global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification. The syllabus comprises 13 examinations and an Ethics and Professional Skills module (EPSM), although some exemptions are available. The qualification is structured in three modules: an Ethics and Professional Skills module and a Professional Experience Requirement.
How to register for ACCA & what are the documents required?
To register for the ACCA course, you can:
- Go to the ACCA Global website
- Select the "Apply Now" section under the "Join ACCA" menu
- Set up your online myACCA account by providing your personal details, such as name, email address, and date of birth
- Verify your email address
- Fill out the form with your personal and educational details. Details of your previous qualifications will allow us to determine your eligible exemptions.
- Upload the required documents, including:
- Proof of identity, such as a passport, birth certificate, driver's license, or Adhaar card
- Educational certificates, such as transcripts
- A passport-sized photograph
- Pay the registration fee online using a credit, debit card or pre-paid card
- Wait for approval, which may take a few weeks
How much will it cost?
The cost of your studies will depend on the type of tuition you choose but listed below are the costs you will need to pay to ACCA:
- One of the registration fee
- An annual subscription fee
- A fee for exam papers you take exemptions from
- An entry fee for exam papers you sit
New students will be charged a subscription fee in addition to their initial registration fee. The annual subscription fee is due and payable on or before 1 January each year if you wish to remain an active student. Candidates will have to pay an exemption fee for each exam awarded.

Exam Fees in India
An exam entry fee must be paid for each exam you enter.
If you are taking examinations at a special centre, you must pay any additional local invigilation and accommodation fees.
Applied Knowledge Exams
- Fees for remote on-demand exams: £78
- The centres themselves set the fees for exams taken at CBE centres.

What exemptions are available?
A maximum of nine Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams of the ACCA Qualification can be awarded. ACCA does not grant any exemptions for Strategic Professional exams.
What is the benefit of availing of ACCA exemption through Triple I?
Students can be exempted from nine papers if they join the integrated programme offered by Triple I (ACCA & B. Com or ACCA & MBA). The total exemption fees would be only £258 (present rate) for all 9 papers if the registration is done through Triple I Commerce Academy.
However, if the students register themselves via the ACCA portal, they will have to pay an exemption fee of £84 for each knowledge level and £111 for each skill level paper.
