WHO IS A CA?

A Chartered Accountant is a professional trained in auditing, accounts, finance, and taxation, and is capable of providing consultancy in these areas. The professional certification is administered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

WHAT IS CA INTERMEDIATE & ITS ELIGIBILITY?

CA Intermediate is the second level of the CA course (the other two being CA Foundation and CA Final). The exams are conducted thrice a year (i.e., January, May, and September). Candidates can attempt both groups together or each group individually.

Students can reach this level by passing the CA Foundation exam or through the direct entry route, which can be pursued after earning a degree (55% marks in commerce or 60% in non-commerce streams).

Candidates pursuing their final year of graduation/post-graduation are eligible for provisional registration for the Intermediate Course. This registration will be confirmed only upon submission of satisfactory proof of having passed the graduation/post-graduation examination with the required minimum marks, as mentioned above, before applying for the Intermediate Examination.

If a candidate fails to secure the minimum marks before applying for the Intermediate Examination, their provisional registration will be canceled. No credit will be given for the theoretical education undertaken, and the Council may, upon receiving an application from the candidate, permit a refund of the registration and tuition fee as decided from time to time.

IMPORTANCE OF QUALITY COACHING FOR CA

CA is primarily a self-study course, but quality coaching can significantly ease the learning process due to the following reasons:

  1. Conceptual Clarity
Concepts can be better understood with the help of experts. Trained professionals assist students in presenting answers effectively during exams and boost their confidence.
  2. Time Efficiency
A good coaching class helps students grasp concepts quickly, saving considerable time compared to self-study.
  3. Social Networking
Attending classes (online or offline) allows students to interact with peers, making the learning process more enjoyable and fostering a competitive spirit.
  4. Study Notes
Study notes provided by experienced faculty members serve as useful tools for students during their preparation.
  5. Evaluation Through Test Papers
Regular test papers and mock exams conducted by coaching institutions help students assess their preparation and improve their performance.
